- Hi,
-
- Aside from the possible legal ramifications is it possible to use
- a comm.drv from WFW 3.11 on a Windoze 3.1 system?
-
- Everyone seems to be in agreement that comm.drv from 3.1 is horrid
- and comm.drv from WFW is at least passible. Knowing this, I copied
- the WFW's comm.drv from one of my systems to the 3.1 system. When I
- installed a new internal modem I could not find a com port/irq
- combination that would work from within Windoze. I didn't have any
- software handy that would test the modem from within DOS so I can't
- rule out a bunch of variables but hopefully someone can tell me
- things will be just fine if I just install another *comm.drv.
